Bridget Lyon has had a passion for the moving image since arriving at university, completing a Bachelor of Arts in Film & English Literature in New Zealand in 1993. From there she embarked on an editing career which has taken her to the UK, Ireland, India and France working on major blockbusters and independent features.
Settling in Australia, Bridget worked on films including ‘Holy Smoke‘ and ‘Mission Impossible II‘ and edited award winning short films and feature films including ‘The Visitor‘, ‘Blessed‘ & ‘Maya‘. Documentary projects have included ‘First Australians‘, ‘Beneath the Flame‘ & ‘Cup of Dreams‘ and the SBS series ‘My Family Feast‘.
From July 2010 to early 2013 Bridget worked as editor for STUDIO, SBS’s Arts Channel. In March 2013 Bridget moved to Wellington, New Zealand where she worked for Gibson Group on 10 x 1/2 TV series “Street Hospital”.
